Every year from 2001 Yashwant Sahakari Glucose Karkhana Limited organizes maize development and cultivation program in Kharip and Rubbi season. The whole purpose behind this program is to provide advanced variety maize seeds on subsidized rate. Required fertilizers and pesticides are made available along with maize seeds to the regional maize producers on the village level credit facility. Providing complete support, confidence and encouragement at grass route level. Providing guidance by agriculture experts through seminars, lectures, exhibitions, presentations, audiovisuals and also providing personal agriculture assistance by professionals appointed by Yashwant Sahakari Glucose Karkhana Limited. Approximate 60% subsidy offered on seeds and fertilizers to all regional maize producers. Provide free-of-cost support to maize thrashing at the plant.

The average maize purchase rate from Yashwant Sahakari Glucose Karkhana Limited was Rs.16,000 per Metric Ton in the year 2014-2015 as compared to Rs.4,250 per Metric Ton in the year 2001-2002. The average production of maize per acre was also improved by effective application of our program from 1200 Kilograms to 4000 Kilograms. This significant growth is building more confidence in the regional maize producers to produce more maize, which is helping to accomplish our goal to acquire 100% maize from our local maize producers and awarding them with more financial benefits to improve their life.

In every annual general meeting highest maize producer from the region gets a cash prize and medal from Yashwant Sahakari Glucose Karkhana Limited Sahakari Glucose Karkhana Limited for their contribution and achievement in the maize cultivation. Resulting all these sincere efforts from us the maize cultivation area and has tremendously increased from just 300 acres to 1800 acres that are approximate 36000 acres in Kharip and Rubbi season.
